ALBAWABA - The General Command of Syrian Opposition factions released a video showing a meeting between Ahmed Al-Sharaa (known as Abu Mohammad Al-Jolani), leader of Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham, and Syrian Prime Minister Mohammad Al-Jalali. The meeting focused on facilitating a peaceful transition of power in Syria.
Syrian media reported on Monday that the opposition leadership has appointed Mohammad Al-Bashir, head of the Salvation Government operating in Idlib, to form a transitional government. The move aims to ensure stability and governance during the transitional phase.
A representative of the opposition told "Novosti" that the meeting was held to define steps for the power transition and to prevent chaos in the country. Discussions involved Al-Jolani, Al-Jalali, and Al-Bashir, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the nation’s institutions.
Prime Minister Al-Jalali had earlier announced on Sunday that agreements had been reached with the opposition on the need to safeguard Syria's institutions during this critical period.
