Syria, Lebanon reach border agreement

Syria and Lebanon reached an agreement on Wednesday to facilitate border crossing points as Syria’s customs director said the subject is overburdened by the press.

 

The accord called to open al-Arida crossing point to trucks going to Lebanon and carrying phosphate, stones and sands from 7 am. till midnight in addition to trucks normally passing from the same crossing point. According to <i>SANA</I>, it also agreed to extend hours of work at Dabousiyeh customs secretariat from 6am. until midnight. This is to allow passing of trucks coming from Lebanon into Syria and vice versa.
