ALBAWABA - The Syrian Interior Ministry announced on Monday the arrest of two men, whom it said were members of the Islamic State group, on charges of involvement in the December 26 bombing of a mosque in a predominantly Alawite neighborhood of Homs that killed eight people.

The ministry said in a statement, "Our security units in Homs province...carried out a precise security operation during which they arrested Ahmed Attallah al-Diab and Anas al-Zarrad, members of the ISIS terrorist organization and responsible for the bombing that targeted the Imam Ali bin Abi Talib Mosque in the Wadi al-Dahab neighborhood."
