Syria’s Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa Miro received in Damascus Saturday Jordanian Prime Minister, Ali Abu al-Ragheb and his accompanying delegation.
Abu al-Ragheb, who will preside over the Jordanian side in the Joint Syrian- Jordanian Higher Committee meetings, told reporters that the Jordanian side would work to strengthen distinguished relations between the two countries under the leadership of the leaders of both countries, according to SANA news agency.
On his part, Dr. Miro told reporters that Syria and Jordan would work side by side through this committee to reach economic, social, and cultural integration, as well as to invest in the two countries’ resources. Miro added that this mutual cooperation would lead to the increase in the level of mutual Arab work and solidarity in face of challenges.
He emphasized that the two sides would continue to activate cooperation and integration processes in all fields, as well as enhancing relations between the investors in both countries. In addition, the Prime Minister cited the threats and aggressions against Iraq “away from the United Nations Charter”, and condemned the Israeli criminal practices against the Palestinian people, SANA added.
Later on, Dr. Miro held talks with his Jordanian counterpart, Abo al-Ragheb, focusing on fraternal ties between the two sisterly countries and ways of strengthening them in all fields, as well as with agenda of the Syrian-Jordanian Joint Higher Committee. (Albawaba.com)
