Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad received in Damascus Monday at the People’s Palace, the Lebanese Army Commander, Lt. Gen. Micheal Sulaiman. Matters of mutual concern for Syria and Lebanon were discussed during the meeting.
Earlier, al-Assad received at the People’s Palace the Pakistani Minister of Science and Technology, Atta Al-Rahman. In the course of their meeting, which was attended by Higher Education Minister Hassan Risha and the Pakistani Ambassador to Damascus, Yahya Nakawi, the Pakistani Minister handed over al-Assad a letter from Pakistani President Perves Musharraf, concerning bilateral ties between the two countries, SANA reported.
Discussions during the meeting also focused on prospects of cooperation between the two countries in various fields, notably the technical and educational ones. (Albawaba.com)
