Sayyid Shihab bin Tariq al Said, Advisor to the Omani Sultan, will preside over the opening of the 4th Omani poetry festival at the historic Sinaisla Fort in the wilayat of Sur on Saturday December 4th.
According to <i>ONA</I>, the five-day literary event will be organized in implementation of the Sultan’s directives to give the Omani poetic movement the attention it deserves. Sheikh Majid bin Khalifa al Harthy, Wali of Sur, said preparations for the festival had started for sometimes and involved officials from various government establishments to ensure its success.
