Sudan’s President Omar Bashir will visit Egypt next Sunday for talks with his Egyptian counterpart on bilateral and regional issues, reported Al Ahram daily on Wednesday.
The rescheduled trip follows a delay that resulted from previous discussions between Cairo and Khartoum, during which neither side set a date for Bashir’s visit, said earlier reports.
Political sources said that talks between Bashir and Mubarak were aimed at discussing the situation in Sudan in light of Mubarak's last visit to the US.
They added that the one-day delayed visit would address coordinating the positions of both countries on regional and international issues, in addition to the joint Egyptian-Libyan initiative on Sudan, and boosting bilateral ties – Albawaba.com
