Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak received Friday a message from his Sudanese counterpart, Omar Bashir, on the “excellent bilateral ties” between their two countries.
The message was conveyed by the Sudanese ambassador in Cairo, Ahmed Abdelhalim, reported Al Ahram daily newspaper.
Abdelhalim was quoted as saying that Bashir “hailed the results of the Sudanese-Egyptian joint committee,” which convened last week in Khartoum.
The committee discussed economic and commercial cooperation.
Both countries agreed to upgrade cooperation in the fields of agriculture, investment, energy, electricity, mining, trade and transport.
The two countries also agreed to cooperate in the fields of consular operations, culture, education, information, scientific research, social security, sports and tourism – Albawaba.com
