Sudan president to visit Libya for African Union summit

Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir is to leave to Libya on Sunday heading a delegation to participate in the fifth African Union (AU) Summit, to be held in the Libyan city of Sirt on July 4, it was officially announced in Khartoum on Saturday.

The <i>Sudanese news agency</i> reported that Al-Bashir would demonstrate to the African summit the political developments in Sudan after Nairobi's peace accord.

The summit, attended by 51 presidents and premiers, will also discuss political and economic developments in Africa in addition to civil disputes and wars in the continent.
