The president of Algiers Students' Parents Union (UPE), Salah Amer Yahia has invited striking teachers to display wisdom and resume classes next week. In a press conference conducted at the union's seat Monday, Amer Yahia invited striking teachers "to be satisfied with the wage increase announced by the national education ministry, which expressed the wish to start dialogue to settle the problem once and for all," AP reported.
