Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid-Reza Asefi on Sunday said that enrichment of Uranium in Iran was conducted only in a very primitive stage under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Talking to reporters, he noted that Iran was going to stop the uranium enrichment process voluntarily to prove its goodwill.
Regarding the issue of Dariush Zahedi, an Iranian-American political science lecturer at California's UC Berkeley and Santa Clara University, Asefi expressed hope that he would be released soon. Zahedi has been recently arrested during a visit to Iran and is being held in secret solitary confinement in Tehran's Evin prison. (Albawaba.com)
