The foreign ministers of Britain, France and Germany are to pay an unprecedented visit to Tehran on Tuesday for talks with Iranian President Mohammad Khatami on Tehran's nuclear program, according to Iranian government sources Monday.
President Khatami is expected to meet with Jack Straw, Dominique de Villepin and Joschka Fisher respectively at 10:30 a.m. (0700 GMT) Tuesday, the presidency and culture ministry said, cited by AFP.
According to diplomats, the EU's big three have been engaged in a secretive bid to persuade Iran to fully comply with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) demands it come clean over its nuclear program. (Albawaba.com)
