Following the failure of negotiations between Moroccan midfielder, Yacine Abdessadki, and his French club Strasbourg, a number of leading European clubs approached the player. Le Matin reports that the most serious interest in Abdessadki's services was expressed by Graham Souness, the Newcastle boss.
The 24-year-old midfielder, who had an impressive season in Strasbourg, with six goals in 30 appearances, explained that for the time being he still does not know where he is going to play next season but that he has "contacts with French and English clubs."
