Sixteen people were killed and five others injured on a southern Egyptian highway early Saturday when a minibus crashed into a truck carrying stone slabs, police said.
The accident occurred near Miniya in Upper Egypt when the minibus tried to overtake a car and collided head-on with the truck travelling in the opposite direction.
Sixteen of the dead were children, while four others and the minibus driver were injured -- MINIYA, Egypt (AFP)
