The preparations for Sidi Lakhdar Benkhlouf Festival in the Algerian Province of Mostaganem, which to be held during August 20-22, have been concluded, reported the August 18 edition of Al-Khabar newspaper.

During the festival, the grave of Sidi Lakhdar Benkhlouf (1480-1615), a Sufi saint and poet, will turned into a pilgrimage site for many Algerians. The event will include reading from the Koran and performance of popular singers of folk and religious songs. According to the tradition, Sidi Lakhdar Benkhlouf went to heaven after prophet Mohammed had visited him 60 times, while he was asleep.
