ALBAWABA - In a recent survey conducted in Israel, a startling revelation has emerged. If parliamentary elections were held today, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's party would witness a significant reduction in seats, dropping from 32 to just 18.

The poll indicates that the ruling coalition would secure 42 seats, while the opposition would command a substantial 78 seats.

At the same time, the Israel-Hamas conflict rages on, entering its 29th day. Israel has faced international scrutiny for its actions, including targeting innocent civilians.

Recent incidents have included attacks on an ambulance convoy at Shifa Hospital, an assault on the entrance of Nasr Children's Hospital in western Gaza, and an assault on the Fakhoora School, owned by the UN Palestinian Relief and Works Agency, located in the Jabalia Refugee Camp.

These developments coincide with the third visit of U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken to Israel. Blinken has made a fervent appeal for a ceasefire and the provision of humanitarian aid to Gaza. However, Prime Minister Netanyahu has insisted that an armistice will only be considered once hostages are released.

These poll results have sent shockwaves through the political landscape, adding an unexpected twist to the ongoing events.
