Oman LNG (OLNG) will supply 0.7mtpa (million tonnes per annum) of LNG to Shell for a period of five years, starting from next year, subject to necessary approvals. According to Oman Times, OLNG and Shell have confirmed that they have reached an agreement, in principle, to the sale and purchase of 0.7mtpa of LNG, to be supplied to Shell’s downstream gas markets in Spain.
"In accordance with the agreement, which is subject to approval, LNG will be delivered to Spain with the LNG tanker Galeomma chartered by Shell, while OLNG has an option to replace with its own ship from 2004 onwards," Dr Agnus Cassens, the general manager of OLNG said in a statement. The agreement is the result of a recent tender held by OLNG. (Albawaba.com)
