Seven people had their throats slit and five others were kidnapped at a roadblock set up by armed Islamists in Algeria's Skikda region, local newspapers reported on Monday.
Reports said the attack took place Sunday night near Ain Kechra, about 500 kilometers west of the capital Algeria and that the number of dead could increase. Those kidnapped by armed groups in Algeria are normally later found dead, AFP added. Witnesses who fled said the attackers may have killed others, the report said. (Albawaba.com)
