Saudi Arabia will no longer accept beef re-exported via a third country, Saudi officials have told the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture.
A senior chamber official was quoted by The Gulf News as saying that the Saudi Customs Authority notified it that documentation for imported beef must be attested by Saudi embassies, otherwise the beef will not be allowed to enter.
Saudi Arabia will accept beef direct from the country of origin, the daily added, noting that all types of beef, including frozen and dried, should be checked by Saudi health authorities to ensure that hygiene standards are met – Albawaba.com
