Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdelaziz will arrive in Egypt on Monday for talks with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on bilateral and regional issues, reported the daily Al Ahram on Saturday.
Egyptian Prime Minister Atef Ebeid told the paper that “ways to activate bilateral ties in the field of economy and trade will top the agenda of the leaders’ meeting in Alexandria.”
“Ways to increase Saudi investments in Egypt and increasing bilateral cooperation in petrochemical industries will be high on the agenda,” he added.
Ebeid added that the Palestinian crisis would also be the focus of talks between Mubarak and the Saudi crown prince, who is currently in Paris.
The prince held talks Friday with US Secretary of State Colin Powell.
He told Powell that Israel had “turned its back” on peace, while assuring the secretary that the Arab World was for peace – Albawaba.com
