Saudi Arabia and the UAE deposited Wednesday $54.5 million in support funds set up by the Cairo Arab summit in October to aid the Palestinians in their struggle against Israel, reported the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Saudi Arabia paid $40 million, while the remaining sum was paid by the UAE “within the framework of their commitments to the two funds, established by the Arab extraordinary summit conference held in Cairo last October,” said SPA – Albawaba.com
