An authorized source at the Saudi Interior Ministry has said that the perpetrator of a bomb attack in Khobar last month was a Palestinian dentist who was killed in the attack, along with an American citizen.
The official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted the source as saying that the attacker, Ayman Mohammad Abu Zenad, 30, had recently arrived from Riyadh to visit his family in Dammam in the eastern part of the kingdom.
Police found in his room all his personal documents, and two false Indian passports carrying his photo, in addition to materials allegedly used in the blast that killed Michael Gerald, an engineer in Dammam, and wounded four others.
The four wounded included a US citizen, a Briton and two Filipinos.
Abu Zenad, the statement said, worked in a dental clinic in the Saudi capital and held an Egyptian travel document, which is given to Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.
Investigations are underway to find out the motives behind the attack, said the official source – Albawaba.com
