Saudi Arabia, Houston port authorities sign cooperation accord

A draft accord on friendship and cooperation between the General Saudi Ports Authority and Houston's Port was signed in Riyadh on Wednesday.  

 

The draft provides for the increase in trade exchange between Saudi Arabia and the United States and defines measures to support joint economic interests, the official Saudi Press Agency reported.  

 

The draft was signed by Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and Head of the General Saudi Ports Authority, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ibrahim Al-Maneh and the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Houston's Port Authority, Kees Lowal.  

 

In addition, the signing ceremony was attended by Houston's Mayor Lee Brown and his accompanying delegation. (Albawaba.com)
