Samsung’s new Ultra Edition mobile phones

Samsung announced in Dubai, on July 20, 2006, its mobile phone business strategy by launching the new Ultra Edition line-up of slim, smart and powerful mobile phones in the Middle East. “Samsung’s vision for “mobile communications” is to place a unique but simple central communications, entertainment and information hub in the palm of your hand … without compromising on performance -, reliability or premium multimedia capabilities,” declared Mr Ihnehul Chung, Senior Vice President of Samsung Electronics HQ. “Ergonomically designed, Samsung’s phones are beyond the limitations inherent in slim phones and embody a perfect combination of comfort, simplicity and sophistication,” said Mr Chiwon Suh, President of Samsung Electronics Middle East and Africa HQ. The new Ultra Edition line, according to Mr Jehyoung Park, President of Samsung Gulf Eclectronics, “is a big leap forward… combining exceptional looks, technology and excellent features meeting the needs of consumers who pursue only the best in life.”

In a stylish variety of colors and patterned designs the Samsung’s Ultra Edition 9.9 (D830) is the world’s slimmest clamshell hands (9.9 mm) with the latest cutting-edge technology. This lightweight mobile (85g) comes outfitted with a 2 mega pixel camera, a 2.3” wide display, an external memory, slot for extra storage and an enhanced user interface with uMenu and uSearch features. Samsung’s Ultra Edition 6.9 (820) is the slimmest (6.9 mm) and the lightest (66g) phone in the market today. The Smart Surface Mounting Technology (SSMT) is used to insure the durability and protection of a wealth of features including a 2 mega pixel camera and a music player. Equipped with a powerful 3.13 mega pixel auto-focus camera, the Ultra Edition 12.9 (D900) is the world’s slimmest 3 mea pixel slider, the latest in multimedia technology for business professionals. Animated graphics to alert users and imported documents can be viewed on a vivid 262K color screen.
