Jordan's Police have seized a 1,700-year-old mummy that a dealer was attempting to sell for 350,000 dollars, the official Petra news agency quoted an interior ministry official as saying Monday.
Colonel Mohamed al-Attin said the mummy of a 25- to 30-year-old man, wrapped in a shroud, was found during a raid on the dealer's house in Irbid, 90 kilometres (55 miles) north of Amman.
Three Byzantine mosaics were also seized -- AMMAN (AFP)
