ALBAWABA - A Russian-guided bomb targeted a residential building in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, killing at least 3 people and injuring 52 leading President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to call for more help to deal with the growing threat of such weapons.

Oleh Syniehubov, Kharkiv regional governor, said in a statement that "aerial bombs were launched against the city, damaging residential buildings, shops, and public transport stops".

In a message on Telegram, President Zelenskyy said: "This Russian terror with guided aerial bombs must and can be stopped. Bold decisions from our partners are needed so that we can destroy Russian terrorists and Russian combat aircraft where they are,".

Last month, Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine still needs at least seven additional Patriot missile systems to defend against Russian attacks on the power sector, residential regions, and military targets with deadly glide bombs that cause widespread damage.

Russia continued to use missiles and drones to strike Ukraine's energy infrastructure overnight, according to Kyiv officials. The assaults harmed energy plants in the southeast and west, injuring at least two personnel.

Ukrenergo, the state-owned power grid operator, said the attacks damaged equipment at sites in southeast Zaporizhzhia and the western Lviv area. A fire broke out at an energy complex in Zaporizhzhia, injuring two workers, according to regional governor Ivan Fedorov.

With no major changes reported along the frontline, where a recent push by Russian forces in eastern and north-eastern Ukraine resulted in only incremental gains, both sides have targeted infrastructure, attempting to limit each other's ability to fight in a war now in its third year.
