ALBAWABA - A statement by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha revealed that Russia launched one of its largest aerial attacks on Kyiv since the beginning of the war.
"Russia launched one of the largest air attacks: drones and missiles against peaceful cities, sleeping civilians, and critical infrastructure," Sybiga said following the bombardment that forced most of the capital Kyiv to go out of power, in addition to two other eastern regions.
Two people were killed and seven others injured, including two children, in the city of Mykolaiv as a result of Russia's massive drone and missile attack, regional governor Vitalii Kim said earlier today.
According to the governor, the attack caused damage to many private dwellings, a multi-story building, cars, a shopping mall, and an infrastructure facility. Multiple loud explosions were reported across the capital, Kyiv, between 6:30 and 7:15 a.m. local time.
The cities of Kropyvnytskyi, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Cherkasy, Dnipro, Vinnytsia, Kryvyi Rih, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, and Khmelnytskyi Oblast also reported hearing more explosions.
According to reports, many cruise, ballistic, and hypersonic missiles were fired against various areas from the Black Sea, Russia's Astrakhan Oblast, and Krasnodar Krai.
