Rodina leader Dmitry Rogozin has described as "the most far-fetched pretext" the reason on which on Tuesday Ukrainian parliament had voted for the dismissal of the Government led by prime minister Yuri Yekhanurov. The deputies supported the move claiming the new contract about gas deliveries from Russia "contradicts the national interests of Ukraine. "

"Ukraine has won much more from this contract in comparison with Russia. It has received the contract on delivery of gas actually under the domestic price, said  Rogozin. "I cannot say the Government of Yekhanurov was strong and professional, but in this specific question of the gas deliveries and the dispute with Russia, there was nothing wrong in this Government's approach", noted the Russian politician.

Yekhanurov, 58, is considered one of Ukraine's most experienced politicians and a long-time ally of the president.
