Report: Arafat Agrees to Tripartite Meeting with Clinton, Barak

Palestinian President Yasser Arafat has agreed to take part in a tripartite meeting with Prime Minister Ehud Barak and US president Bill Clinton to discuss ways of putting an end to the escalating violence in Palestinian lands, reported The Jerusalem Post newspaper, quoting Israeli radio.  

According to the report, Clinton made the statement after his meeting with Barak in Washington. It added that the meeting may take place later in the month. 

Senior Israeli official said that there was no breakthrough in the three-hour meeting between Barak and Clinton – Albawaba.com
