Quake Rocks Southern Iran, No Injuries Reported

An earthquake measuring 3.2 on the Richter scale jolted the Iranian southern city of Shiraz Tuesday night, but caused no damage or injuries, reported the official Iranian news agency, IRNA.  

The tremor struck at 11:24pm with its epicenter 20 kilometers south of Shiraz, a source affiliated with the geophysics institute at Tehran University said.  

The quake was accompanied by a tremendous sound, sparking panic among residents who spilled over to the streets, said the agency – Albawaba.com
