Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al Thani on Monday left the Tunisian capital, following a short visit he made in the context of an Arab tour that had covered Morocco and Algeria.
Tunisian President Zine al Abedeen bin Ali led well-wishers to bid the Emir farewell, according to KUNA.
Upon his departure, the Emir sent the Tunisian President a cable expressing his thanks and appreciation for the hospitality he and members of his delegation had received during the visit.
In the course of his stay, among other things, the Qatari Emir, along with the Tunisian president, sponsored a ceremony marking the opening of a faculty of medicine in Tunis. (Albawaba.com)
