A Palestinian fighter was killed and another was seriously injured by Israeli Border Police gunfire in Rafah, Israel's Army Radio reported. With this latest killing, the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli fire in this southern Gaza Strip city has risen to 16 since October 10th.
Also in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian medical sources said a 70-year-old man, Mahmoud Zaqout, was shot and wounded by Israeli occupation forces in Khan-Younis. Zaqout suffered moderate injuries after being shot with live bullets in the thigh, medical sources said.
Meanwhile, in the West Bank city of Jenin, Israeli occupation forces, supported by tanks and armored jeeps raided offices of the Islamic Jihad on Sunday, confiscating computers and documents, according to witnesses. Two Islamic Jihad fighters were also arrested in the operation, witnesses said.
In Qalqilia, Israeli forces stormed several houses in the city and tightened the siege imposed on the city, WAFA said.
Elsewhere, also Sunday, Palestinians fired at least eight Qassam rockets Sunday at an Israeli town bordering the Gaza Strip. There were no immediate reports of casualties, according to Israeli media reports.
Three of the rockets landed in the southern Desert town of
