The Qassam Brigades, military wing of the Hamas Movement, on Tuesday declared responsibility for shelling a number of Israeli army targets and a settlement.
In separate communiqués, the military wing said it fired a mortar shell at the Zionist military roadblock on the coastal road on 02.10 am Tuesday.
It also took the credit for blasting a device in a Zionist bulldozer to the west of Khan Younis and firing three mortar shells at the Kisuffim settlement Monday night, according to The Palestinian Information Center.
In addition, on Monday night, the Brigades said that fighters blasted another device in a Zionist tractor to the west of Khan Younis and fired an RPG at a third one in the same area.
In the meantime, on Tuesday morning, hundreds of settlers from Sderot, hard hit by continuous Palestinian rocket attacks, marched in protest toward neighboring Beit Hanoun in the Gaza Strip from where many of the Qassam rockets are being launched.
The march ended before noon at a look-out point near Beit Hanoun on the "Israeli side" of the border, according to Israeli media. Large police forces escorted the protest. Organizers, who were reportedly satisfied with the turnout, said they had not planned on crossing the "border fence" separating Israel from the Gaza Strip.
