Libya is prepared to follow Iran's lead and sign a protocol allowing surprise UN inspections of its nuclear sites, Libyan Prime Minister Shukri Mohammed Ghanim said Monday.
"Yes," replied Ghanim when asked in an interview from Tripoli whether his country was ready to sign the protocol to the Non-Proliferation Treaty allowing surprise inspections of nuclear facilities.
"We agree to the commitment that we are taking from the International Atomic Energy Agency and we are willing to abide by its rules and honour our commitments, whatever those commitments mean," he said on BBC radio Monday. (Albawaba.com)
