ALBAWABA - US, UK, and Israeli troops carried out attacks on strategic locations in Yemen, such as Sana’a and the Red Sea province of Hudaydah, according to the Houthi-controlled SABA news agency. A site close to the capital's Sabeen Square, where people had congregated to express sympathy for Gaza, was the target of attacks, the agency said.
According to the report, eight aircraft allegedly damaged a power facility in the Sanhan area of Sana'a, while six airstrikes bombed the ports of Hudaydah and Ras Isa. The Houthi-run media network, al-Masirah, also attributed the attacks to Israeli, British, and American troops.
According to a related event, Israel took part in airstrikes against the Houthis for the first time with the United States and the United Kingdom, according to Israel's national television KAN.
Since October 31, 2023, the Houthis have stepped up their activities in retaliation for Israeli assaults in Gaza. They have attacked ships in the Red Sea with drones and missiles and detained many commercial ships, claiming they are connected to Israeli businesses.
Due to security concerns, some maritime firms halted operations across the Red Sea after these occurrences. "Operation Guardian of Prosperity," a multinational task force designed to provide maritime security in response to the Houthi threat, was declared by the United States in December 2023.
After the attacks on their lands, the Houthis responded with a threat that all American and British ships would be attacked. The safety of international marine commerce routes in the area has come under scrutiny as a result of this escalation.
