Protect Data AB announced today that the company is raising its 2006 fiscal year financial forecast. Sales of Protect Data’s in-house developed security software, Pointsec, grew substantially during the third quarter this year. The main factor behind this positive development is a rapid growth in the U.S. market.

Preliminary figures indicate that Protect Data’s third quarter revenues will reach about MSEK 160, compared with MSEK 61.3 for the same period last year. Sales of third-party products remained approximately unchanged, compared with the previous quarter.

The strong sales growth during the third quarter requires Protect Data to raise its financial forecast for fiscal year 2006. The company now expects revenues and profit to increase significantly, compared to 2005. The previous forecast stated: Sales and profit are expected to increase compared to 2005.

Protect Data will announce the company’s full third quarter report on October 26.
