ALBAWABA - An AFP team witnessed the United Nations hand over a UN post to national police on Wednesday, marking the beginning of the withdrawal of MONUSCO peacekeeping soldiers from the DR Congo.

During an official ceremony at the Kamanyola facility near the Rwandan and Burundian borders, the flags of the United Nations and Pakistan, whose forces were in command of the base, were replaced by those of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
