Panasonic, the leading global manufacturer of consumer electronics and home appliances, has announced the launch of its new built-in type Induction Heating (IH) Cooktop in the Middle East, using innovative technology to create higher levels of performance, safety and comfort.

The IH Cooktop consists of two high-powered heating elements, each utilizing dual coils for uniform, stable and powerful heating that is regulated by temperature controlled sensors. The uniform heating provided by the dual coils helps to keep the flavour and nutrients in the food, while allowing for up to 30 per cent faster heating than gas burners.

Additional technologies such as a timer touch control panel in addition to an air intake and discharge system, help to maximize full cooking power by creating up to 90 per cent high-heating efficiency thereby reducing energy loss.

"Panasonic recognizes the importance of specific customer requirements and our extensive investment in research and product innovation has translated into customer-tailored high quality home appliances and consumer electronics," said Takashimaru Yamamoto, General Manager, Home Appliances, Panasonic Marketing Middle East.

The safety features of the IH Cooktop include a flameless illuminated cooking ring, an auto shut-off function, slip-resistant surfaces, overheat protection and a high-temperature caution light.  The Cooktop also has a self-diagnostic function to alert customers to a potential problem by flashing a code on the built-in LCD screen.

The IH Cooktop has several features designed to provide comfort to the user, such as an inbuilt radiant heater to allow for the heating of a variety of cookware, including glass.  Additionally, the Cooktop can be used in an open kitchen layout and in the design of an 'island' kitchen, allowing for greater cooking flexibility.

Specialized training, live demonstrations and cookery shows will be provided in each region throughout the Middle East to highlight the IH Cooktop’s performance abilities.
