The Palestinian Authority has demanded that Israel free all Palestinian prisoners originally from the Gaza Strip after completing its pullout from the occupied territory.
"The Palestinian Authority officially asked Israel to release 650 prisoners from the Gaza Strip who were arrested by the Israeli army during the years of the occupation," Palestinian prisoner affairs minister Sufian Abu Zaydeh told AFP on Monday.
"Given that Israel is bringing to an end its occupation of the Gaza Strip, it must release all prisoners being detained from this region," he added.
