A Palestinian youth was killed by Israeli army gunfire in the Gaza Strip overnight, said reports Saturday.
The still-unidentified man was killed instantly when he was hit during Israeli shooting and shelling at the Karni crossing point between the Gaza Strip and Israel, reported the Haaretz newspaper.
The man's body was turned over to Palestinian authorities by the army on Saturday morning, sources told AFP.
Clashes flared in the West Bank and Gaza Strip Friday between Palestinians and Israeli troops along with Jewish settlers.
Israel soldiers fired at a Palestinian car near Ramallah, said the paper, adding that the driver refused to stop at an army checkpoint.
Two Palestinians were wounded as a result, one moderately wounded and one lightly wounded, said Haaretz.
The paper added that Palestinian gunmen fired at an army base next to the Morag Jewish settlement in the Gaza strip, but there were no injuries – Albawaba.com
