A young man who was wounded two weeks ago by Israeli soldiers died on Sunday, becoming the 706th Palestinian to die in the latest Palestinian rebellion against 34 years of Israeli military occupation.
Palestinian hospital sources told AFP that Taher Kilani, 17, from the village of Yabad near the northern West Bank city of Jenin, was shot in the chest on Nov. 5 during clashes with the Israeli army.
The Palestinian official news agency (WAFA) said that he was shot in the head by an Israeli sniper during an invasion of the village.
His death brings to 973 the number of people killed as a result of the Intifada, or Palestinian uprising, which broke out in September 2000. They include 762 Palestinians and 189 Israelis – Albawaba.com
