A Palestinian who was shot and injured five months ago in clashes with Israeli soldiers has died of his injuries in a Jordanian hospital, a medical official told AFP Wednesday.
20-year-old Taha Rebhi Abu Sneina, died Tuesday at Jordan Hospital where he had been hospitalized, the head of the intensive care department at the private hospital, Nidal Khanfar has said.
"Abu Sneina, a Palestinian from Hebron [West Bank] was hit by an Israeli bullet in the back and suffered from paralysis," the Doctor added.
"Ten other Palestinians injured in the Intifada are hospitalized for bullet wounds at Jordan Hospital," he stated.
The latest death brings to 1,200 the number of people reported killed since the beginning of the uprising, Intifada, on September 28, 2000, of whom 920 have been Palestinians and 258 Israelis.
Dozens of wounded Palestinians have been admitted to private and military hospitals in Jordan’s capital of Amman since the start of the Intifada, at the initiative of the Jordanian government, who pays for their medical expenses. (Albawaba.com)
