Palestinian security forcibly released two UN employees abducted on Monday in the southern Gaza Strip city of Khanyounis. According to RNA, witnesses said that Palestinian security forces have attacked the building where the kidnappers held the hostages and exchanged fire with them.
Meanwhile, Palestinian PM Ahmed Qurei affirmed that there is no meaning for the Israeli withdrawal from Jenin unless they are placed under administrative and security control of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA).
During a meeting with Fatah members in Jenin Chamber of Commerce, Qurei said that considering Jenin as "B" area after the withdrawal is not a solution, adding that the Palestinian citizen must feel change towards independence and freedom.
"From Jenin we say to the American Administration and the Quartet that we are waiting for answer concerning Jenin in the next phase and hoping to have an answer before withdrawal begins," the PM said.
