Palestinian armed men exchanged fire with Israeli forces guarding Gaza Strip Jewish settlement of Netzarim early Sunday, reported The Jerusalem Post in its online edition.
A similar incident took place at the Neveh Dekalim settlement overnight, added the Israeli daily, but no injuries were reported in either incident.
On Saturday, eleven Palestinians were injured in clashes with the Israeli army in the southern West Bank city of Hebron.
Israeli soldiers fired on Palestinians in the center of Hebron, where the city is divided into Palestinian and Israeli controlled sectors in order to guard some 400 Jewish settlers living amid 120,000 Palestinians.
An Israeli army spokesman told AFP the army had fired light munitions, meanwhile Arab media talked of heavy shelling of Hebron.
Earlier in Hebron, some 2,000 Palestinians shouted their support for Iraq, which was bombed by US warplanes Friday, during a funeral march Saturday for a Palestinian killed by Israeli shelling, said AFP.
Dozens of mourners threw stones and fire bombs at Israeli soldiers positioned at a barricade on a nearby road, and the soldiers responded by firing rubber bullets and tossing stun grenades.
No one was injured.
Marchers brandished portraits of Iraqi President Saddam Hussein as well as Palestinian and Iraqi flags during the burial of Essam al-Tawlil, 29.
Some fired shots in the air and the crowd set fire to an Israeli flag.
Tawlil and Shaker al-Manasra, 25, were killed and 20 others injured when the Israeli army shelled an area near Hebron Friday night.
In the southern Gaza Strip, Palestinian fighters opened fire late Saturday on an Israeli army position near Khan Yunis and threw a grenade at an Israeli position by the Egyptian border.
No casualties were reported, the army spokesman said, quoted by AFP – Albawaba.com
