Out of Blue signs exclusivity with Dubai World Trade Centre for Gitex 2006

Out of Blue, a Bluetooth proximity marketing system announced today its partnership with Dubai World Trade Centre as the Bluetooth provider for all events commencing with Gitex which will be held in November 2006. Out of Blue will now be able to offer Gitex visitors for the first time ever an indoor interactive mobile media environment. Using state of the art technology, Out of Blue is the first company to bring this service to a public audience free of charge.

Out of Blue has selected the Geniem Superstore solution from Geniem, a on-device portal technology and services company based in Finland, to create the core part of its proximity marketing solution.. The Geniem Superstore with Bluetooth is a Bluetooth downloadable Java application and a server-side management solution. It enables Out of Blue to deliver traditional retailers and physical stores a new mobile marketing system which offers multimedia content, competitions, surveys and polls, updates and news and advertisement to its customers.

Out of Blue will be launching this pioneering technology during Gitex for the first time ever. Out of Blue Managing Director, Michel Homsi, said “Through the Superstore solution, Out of Blue will offer AME info live news feeds, stock market listings, directly onto Bluetooth enabled mobile phones during Gitex. We will be creating a Bluetooth network environment starting from the concourse and throughout all the halls during Gitex. This will enable Gitex visitors to receive live content, catalogues from various retailers exhibiting in Gitex, coupons, vouchers, games and ring tones whenever and wherever they are at the exhibitions halls.”
