Leading value added networking distributor, Online Distribution, and SafeNet Inc, (NASDAQ: SFNT), a leading network and information security products and solutions vendor, presented the latest solutions to deliver secure access, authorization and authentication to networks, applications, information and data at a seminar in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The seminar, held at the J W Marriott hotel in Riyadh on May 28, 2006, highlighted the advantages of utilising encryption technologies to protect communications, intellectual property and digital identities. Though the Middle East has one of the highest technology adoption rates in the world, enterprises currently spend just five per cent of their IT budgets on security. This figure is set to increase with the increase in mobile computing as network and internet security awareness grows and SafeNet’s products, that integrate robust hardware security components and software solutions, will add significant value to customers. SafeNet security solutions like its WAN encrypters, VPN gateways, and digital identity solutions of Smartcards, USB tokens and hardware security modules were on display at the seminar, giving participants an opportunity to gauge the effectiveness of the products.

“SafeNet security solutions offer competitive advantages to customers by lowering the cost of deploying and managing secure, reliable private networks, while enabling use of VPNs over the Internet for transactions. We offer a simple, cost-effective approach to Internet security and this seminar demonstrates SafeNet’s leadership in product design. We are committed to delivering the most innovative security solutions. We will continue to ensure our customers get the best and most complete security solutions in the industry and aim to develop and support our valued channel partners in the region,” said  Sébastien Pavie Channel Sales Manager, Southern Europe, Middle-East and Africa Enterprise Security Division

Since it began operations in 1983, SafeNet has been providing network security solutions worldwide for financial, enterprise, telecommunications, and government use. SafeNet’s SecureIP Technology has enjoyed broad market acceptance and organisations that depend on robust security for all communications have been enabled with SafeNet technology for years.

SafeNet has a history of growing the business through channel partners. To continue the success, the company has launched its Partner Alliance programme in the Middle East so that regional partners receive the maximum benefits and provides the best support and services to local customers in the region.

“Ensuring business continuity and protecting IT networks from attack should be the number one priority for IT managers. With SafeNet securing the infrastructure of today’s e-business communications, the company is opening new markets for interoperable, secure, and deployable VPN communications. We are pleased to see the encouraging response from partners, and we expect significant sales growth in this year,” said Keith Rich, managing director, OnLine Distribution, the distributors of SafeNet products in the region.
