Omnix, a leading regional technology service provider and integrator, announced its sponsorship of the 2006 Al Ain Aerobatic Show, a truly international aerobatic competition, organized by the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, the UAE Air Force and the Air Defense in coordination with the world air sports federation.
The show, a staging breathtaking competitions and displays set against the backdrop of one of the world’s oldest desert oasis settlements, featured more than 60 aircraft and more than 500 pilots and technical professional from all over the world. As part of the World Grand Prix, this truly international competition was open to solo pilots, formation teams, piston-engine, turbo-jet and jet aircraft flying to music. The event enthralled competitors, aerospace professionals and enthusiasts year after year.
The show was inaugurated by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. The event will span from the 11th until the 15th of January and will be attended by tens of thousands of spectators making it one of the largest public events in the United Arab Emirates.
