Omani Oil Production Jumps by 4.1 Percent

Omani official statistics showed an increase of 4.1 percent in oil exports during September 2001, recording 250,201,000 barrels in comparison to the same month last year that recorded 240,295,400 barrels, Kuwait’s news agency (KUNA) reported. 

The statistics report issued from the national Omani ministry of economy, that the average price of an omani oil barrel decreased during September 2001 by 7.7 percent, as it was estimated to 24,47 dollars per barrel in 2001, and 26,51 dollars per barrel in year 2000, said the agency. 

Statistics added, that the Omani production of oil by the end of September 2001 was recorded to 262,194 million barrels, whereas in September 2000 recorded 257,403 million barrels, an increase of 1.9 percent -- Albawaba.com
