Oman’s foreign minister Yusef bin Alawi Abdullah al-Wazeer is expected to visit the republic of Yemen within the first week of October, the 26 September weekly reported, according to SABA.
The paper said that the Omani minister would be accompanied by a delegation from the general secretary of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to sign a frame agreement, which is to identify the “kind of relationship” between Yemen and the GCC.
The agreement is supposed to help develop relations and pave the way for the complete joining of the GCC in the future. The Omani minister is expected to meet with foreign minister Abu Bakr Al-Qerbi to discuss developments in the region and push relations forward between Yemen and Oman.
