Old mosque in city of Al-Mahmadiyya robbed

The old mosque in the city of Al-Mahmadiyya (40 Km south of Rabat), known as "The White Mosque", was robbed as 4 pray carpets were stolen from the wing dedicated to males, reported the Emirates newspaper, <i>Al-Bayan</i> (August 10, 2005).  One of the four stolen carpets was granted to the
mosque at the same day. The mosque has seen many theft cases before,
despite its location in the "Qasba" neighborhood, which has high traffic during
the day and the night.
